JS1 polystyrene ceilings<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The product is characterized by RT Recommendation ITB -1078\/2008.
The panels are made of self-extinguishing polystyrene PS-E with a volume density of 25kg\/m3 with two reinforcing elements made of steel sheet St08x with a thickness of 0,9-0,7 mm. They do not contain harmful substances affecting organisms in quantities exceeding permissible values - Hygienic Certificate B-1860\/95.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Spacing of ceiling ribs a = 400mm- 620mm. Height of the ceiling structure in the raw state h = 195-330 mm. The span of the ceiling in the light of supports results from the purpose of the ceiling and depends on the static loads , but not more than 12m.

Thickness of the over concrete slab: 40-60mm<\/span><\/p>

The dead weight of the ceiling in the raw state:

With a thickness of over concrete of 40 mm - 1.65 kN\/m2 - 3.20kN\/m2

With 60 mm thickness of superconcrete - 2.15 kN\/m2 - 3.70 kN\/m2<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The static calculation of the ceiling should be carried out in accordance with PN-B-03264\/99 considering the ceiling as a free-supported element , with the following conditions:<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The concrete used must be of a class not lower than B20, and the main reinforcement of the floor must be made of A-III grade steel mark 32 GS, while the stirrups must be A-0 grade steel mark St0S-b.

Polystyrene ceiling panels - thermal insulation performance<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Our ceilings have very good thermal insulation, this is important especially for ceilings used over unheated basement spaces or under unheated attics. JS panels are both formwork and filling of the ceiling, which makes it easier and reduces the time of its execution. It should also be noted that the lightness of this formwork facilitates its installation in the building, and the ceiling itself has a relatively low dead weight and very good rigidity typical of monolithic structures. During the assembly phase, the slabs are a structural element carrying the assembly load, while during the operational phase they remain a non-structural filling - external loads carried by the beams and concrete slab of the ceiling.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

1. PLACEMENT OF SHUTTERING BOARDS\n <\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The slabs can be delivered in 13m sections and, depending on the need, can be cut to any size or can be delivered according to the dimensions according to the project and order. Due to the low weight, the boards can be lifted to any level of the ceiling without using additional equipment. Formwork boards should be laid on fixed supports (walls) or alternatively on mounting supports. When the boards are laid on fixed supports, the depth of support must not be less than 50mm. Fixed supports (walls) should be leveled and levelled with a layer of cement mortar before placing formwork. The side lower elements of the panels with a height of 55mm and a thickness of 40mm, which serve as ceiling rib covers, should be cut to the depth of support of the panel on the fixed support \/ 50mm*50mm \/ Fig. 1. This way of supporting the shuttering panels causes narrowing of the ceiling rim, while when the strength conditions require the construction of ceiling rims with a width equal to the thickness of the support, the shuttering panels are supported on the mounting supports made directly at the wall.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

2. MOUNTING SUPPORTS<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Before placing the formwork panels and supporting them on the walls, mounting supports should be installed and leveled perpendicular to the placement of the panels at a spacing of no more than 2.0m FIG. The mounting support should be made along the entire length of the formwork panels and the width of the mounting support should not be less than 100mm. The boards should be laid tightly, side by side, perpendicular to the ceiling span.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

3. REINFORCEMENT OF THE POLYSTYRENE CEILING<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

On the shuttering boards laid as described above, before starting to arm the ceiling, it is necessary to lay 2-3 boards in order to move on them, thus avoiding possible damage to the boards. Then we begin to arm the ceiling by laying the rim Fig 2\/ Fig 3.


After placing the rim reinforcement, we place the rib reinforcement, connecting it to the rim reinforcement Figure 4.


The selection of reinforcement of the rim , ceiling ribs and other elements should be made in accordance with individual design documentation. Assuming that the beams of the main reinforcement will be made on site , it is allowed to use different types of stirrups depending on the need and purpose of the ceiling. The arrangement of the beams between the slabs is shown in Figure Fig. 5.The main reinforcement of the ceiling should be made of steel class A-III, mark 34GS according to the PN-82\/H-93215 standard or steel class A-III N, mark St3S-b-500 or StSY-b-500, corresponding to the requirements of the ITB certificate No. AT-15-23005\/96 or the ITB Technical Approval No. AT -15-2498\/97.The stirrups should be made of steel class A-0, mark St0S-b<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

4. BUILDING THE CEILING<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The concrete mixture is laid after the installation of reinforcement in the ribs, the superconcrete slab and the tie beams and other elements provided for in the documentation. The laid concrete mixture should be compacted mechanically. The quality of the concrete mass should meet the conditions specified in the ceiling documentation. Concrete used in the construction of the ceiling must be of a class not lower than B 20, corresponding to the requirements of PN 88\/B-06250.The laid concrete mass should be cared for during the maturation period in accordance with the Technical conditions for the execution and acceptance of construction and assembly works.<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

5. REMOVAL OF MOUNTING SUPPORTS\n<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The stripping of the elements and the floor and the removal of the mounting supports can take place only after the concrete 70% has reached its design strength.<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

6. TECHNOLOGY OF FINISHING WORKS<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

To finish the ceiling, one of the following technologies can be used:<\/p>

Plastering and painting<\/strong><\/p>

On the completed ceiling we apply a thin layer of adhesive paste then lay a fiberglass or polypropylene mesh with a mesh size of 4*3mm or 4*4mm The mesh is pressed into the adhesive paste with a steel trowel. After the plaster is dry, we apply paint.<\/p>

Lining with decorative coffers<\/strong>.<\/p>

On the completed ceiling we apply a thin layer of polystyrene glue for priming , after drying which we put the coffers on polystyrene glue , commonly used commercially.<\/p>

Gypsum board lining or suspended ceilings.<\/strong><\/p>

There are two sections - 0.9 mm - in the slab, which, in addition to stiffening the slabs, are provided for pre-fastening with sheet metal screws of gypsum boards, suspended ceilings, etc. Fixing the aforementioned at the ready is to be done with screws with spacer wheels to the rib of the concrete slab at the contact of polystyrene formwork panels.<\/p>

A comparison of the cost of the polystyrene formwork slab system with other monolithic dense-rib floors with the same technical parameters shows that the JS floor is 20% cheaper on average.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

7. TRANSPORT AND STORAGE CONDITIONS\nPOLYSTYRENE CEILING<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The board should be transported and stored horizontally in stacks of max 10 pieces, while the ground should be dry and level. The boards can be delivered in lengths of 13m or other, according to the order.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>
